i use a Roland microcube and a Fender front man at home, and a Peavevey 412 Windsor halfstack on stage.
About Me:
ive been playing for about 5 years, ive had only one teacher during my first two years of playing, after that it was only my heroes and my friend chris (who does actally recive classess) who have tought me what i know... im in to alot of different music, avenged sevenfold is my favorite band as of right now... i believer Mr. Synister Gates and Zackie Vengeance brought something really cool to the table of hard rock and metal in EVERY album... All That Remains, Killswithch Engage, Slipknot, Dream Theater, are some of my teachers and faveorite people to listen to...
i have had the exact same problem untill i entered college last year as a music major. i used to tell my guitar teachers what i wanted to learn rather than them telling me what they thought would be good for me to learn. one of the things that influenced me the most is that i discovered classical music, and it really changed my world around. i would recommend a book called the vintage guide to classical music that details the insane things and pranks that classical composers did daily.(mozart was known for jumping over chairs and howling like a wolf). i feel heavy metal and variants of death metal are most synonymous with classical, and classical opens the door for all music. i still hold all rock to the highest regard but have learned to appreciate much more. some bridges between the two would be "Rodrigo y Gabriella" two ex-death metal players from mexico that turned classical guitarist and do a interpretation of stairway to heaven that is simply incredible, and "Andy McKee, who has more or less invent a style of playing that is completely new
id say both and more. i have a very naturally blues stemmed style but most of my original work sound pretty metallic yet as a college music student i have gathered an appreciation of listening and playing all music
do you need an original replacement? I am pretty sure that they use 57 classics, gibson winds their own pickups. Its been a while since i sold these things so i could be wrong.
Hey Eddie, I practice through a crate gtp 65 and I use a randall all tube for performing. I have the original B.C. Rich pick-ups and they sound really good for metal with no noise.
